Walnut, the brain's nutrition

The shape and braid of walnut extracted from its shell is surprisingly similar to the human brain. If you have a mental work or want to keep your memory in your older age, think of the walnut in time! Its nutrients promote the activity of transducer molecules called neurotransmitters , so the information flows easily between the brain cells. Dr. James Joseph, medical scientist at the University of Boston, proved that nuts also reduce the chances of developing Alzheimer's disease. It prevents the formation of disease-specific plaques, and once they have appeared, it helps to select and demolish them. 


Walnut is an excellent source of omega 3 fatty acids, including the most important alpha linolenic acid content. This substance contributes to the formation of another vital fatty acid, DHA, which supports the healthy brain function of newborns. During the pregnancy it’s especially important to eat some nuts daily. It’s recommended for young children older than two, insert nuts carefully into their meal, in minced form first. Take care of allergic reactions!
Fortunately, the sensitivity to nuts is less common than allergy to hazelnuts. It is available all the year, it’s worth to be consumed.
